Upsher-Smith launches NEW Vandazole™ Vaginal
Gel for bacterial vaginosis
MAPLE GROVE, MN, October 11, 2005—Upsher-Smith
Laboratories, Inc. has introduced new Vandazole™ (metronidazole
vaginal gel, 0.75%) for treatment of bacterial vaginosis in non-pregnant
patients. Available in 70-gram tubes with five vaginal applicators,
Vandazole™ Vaginal Gel is the first vaginal, economical alternative
for treatment of bacterial vaginosis in the metronidazole vaginal
gel market. Vandazole™ Vaginal Gel was developed, and will
be manufactured for Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc. under an exclusive
agreement, by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA.
Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc. will utilize its sales and
marketing expertise—including sales force detailing,
national conventions and professional advertising—to
promote Vandazole™ Vaginal Gel to physicians and pharmacists
