Upsher-Smith Launches Bethanechol Chloride Tablets, USP
Maple Grove MN, June 1, 2005—Upsher-Smith Laboratories,
Inc. has received approval from the FDA to market Bethanechol Chloride
Tablets. Bethanechol Chloride Tablets are indicated for the treatment
of acute postoperative and postpartum non-obstructive (functional)
urinary retention and for neurogenic atony of the urinary bladder
with retention.
Bethanechol Chloride Tablets are an AA-rated, generic
equivalent to the brand name product, Urecholine® (Bethanechol
Chloride) Tablets, USP1. Bethanechol Chloride Tablets
are available in 5mg, 10mg, 25mg and 50mg strengths in 100 count
bottles as well as unit dose.
