At Upsher-Smith, our commitment means everything

Our commitment to go above and beyond what is normally expected of a pharmaceutical company is at the core of everything that we do. In every department, at every location, our people recognize how important it is to deliver the right products and services to those who need them.

Founded in 1919 by a pharmacist, and currently chaired by one, Upsher-Smith also realizes the importance of pharmacy to healthcare and to our business. We never forget that the work pharmacists do at every level is critical for both patients and healthcare professionals.

Today, CEO Mark Evenstad follows in the footsteps of his father, Chairman Ken Evenstad, who led the company until 2003. Mark guides the long-term corporate strategy for Upsher-Smith, specifically focusing on business development and expanding the company’s R&D successes with high-value, high-quality therapies and partnerships that deliver better health outcomes and enhance life. Meanwhile, President Rusty Field manages near-term direction and corporate operations, with the primary responsibility of delivering the company’s revenue and profitability goals.
